CHLAMYDIA & GONORRHEA
Like most STD’s, chlamydia & gonorrhea are spread through sexual intercourse. Chlamydia is most common among young women. The majority of individuals with chlamydia or gonorrhea do not experience any symptoms. When left untreated, these STD’s can turn into Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, affecting a woman’s fertility.
At My Future Approved, we recommend STD testing for all of our *pregnant patients. A woman with an untreated STD at the time of her abortion is at an increased risk for developing Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. For women intending to continue their pregnancy, the CDC states that an untreated STD can cause serious complications for the woman and the fetus.
Testing at our clinics for chlamydia and gonorrhea is free of charge. *All patients with a positive test are provided with free treatment at the clinic.
